“It is my belief that, in the kind of practice I do, one of the things critical in the representation of clients, is the ability to assist them through these very difficult times in their lives,” asserts Lucas.

He believes it is important that his clients and their families, in addition to seeing him as their lawyer, feel that they can lean on him for advice and counsel throughout their association.

An attorney since 1973, Lucas is a defense attorney concentrating in the areas of criminal law and accident cases including personal injury, drug cases, business disputes, drunk driving and workers' compensation.

“One of the distinguishing features that is central to my practice is a high degree of trial work. This includes both criminal matters and civil suits,” Lucas explains. “but criminal trial work definitely predominates.”

Reflecting on his past 17 years as an attorney, Lucas feels fortunate to have been involved in a large number of significant high-profile media criminal cases over the last 10 years. “The exposure given to the majority of cases I am involved in adds to the importance of being there for my clients in many ways,” Lucas points out.
